"Water" was the theme of our Harvest Festival this year. Parents joined Key Stage 1 and 2 children as we said Thank You for all the gifts from our earth and thought especially about the importance of water. We raised money for the Water Aid charity.

We had an exciting week of activities in our Book Week. The Book Fair was a great success and lots of children entered the book competitions organised by Mrs Smith. An author, Gillian Harvey, came to talk to Key Stage 2 about her stories set in Ancient Egypt. Key Stage 1 enjoyed an afternoon of practical story book fun. Some mums and dads came to read to us as well. You can see a display of our favourite books in the library.

The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra "Little Big Time Band" came to Sidemoor. They were brilliant, playing to the children and demonstrating how different instruments are played. They also found a new conductor!
